A Brief History of T L Wholesale

After 15 years working for Wholesalers and a National Brewer, Charlie Jones decided to open his own wholesale business in 1998. Starting with just two vans and covering the Doncaster area Charlie built the business up to where it is today; Thorne Licence Wholesale now has ten vans and three lorries and covers Doncaster, Leeds, Wakefield, Sheffield, Lincoln, Retford, Nottingham, Hull, Scunthorpe and other surrounding areas.

THE TEAM

Charlie Jones – Managing Director

The decision maker, Charlie is a hands on Director and makes time for all his staff and clients, there is no job he isn’t prepared to take on himself.
Lesley Jones – Company Secretary

Sadly after a long battle with cancer Lesley passed away on Tuesday evening, 13 July 2010. Thank you to everybody who attended her funeral your kind words and wishes were gratefully received.

Married to Charlie for 28 years Leslie was always available to run around doing the jobs that nobody else had time to do as well as answering the phones and taking customer orders she will be very much missed.
Kelly Jones – Personal Assistant & Finance Director

Bubbly Kelly is Charlies right hand woman, she deals with the accounts side of the business and all the paperwork involved in running a busy wholesalers
Lorna Buckley - Creative Design Manager & Sales Administrator

Lorna, a qualified photographer, photographs our products and creates the monthly brochures and flyers sent to all our customers, she is also one of the first people you will speak to when you call TLW.
Jill Robinson - Sales Administrator

Jill is one of the first people you will speak to when you call TLW, always ready with a smile and a laugh, she will take your orders and answer any queries you have.
Julie Buckley – Sales & Marketing Director & IT Manager

Deals with finding ways to spread the word that is Thorne Licence Wholesale. Liases with Business Development Managers in making appointments, customer quotations and updates the computer with special customer prices and offers.
